Former Portland Timbers forward Franck Boli to play in Liga MX

Liga MX club Atletico de San Luis has a new player in former Portland Timbers forward Franck Boli. The Ivory Coast native will reinforce the club’s frontal attack ahead of that league’s 2024 Clausura Tournament.

Boli played in 31 matches and scored 7 goals with the Timbers. He has played in the leagues of Norway, China and Hungary winning a scoring title in 2018 in the Eliteserien of Norway with 17 goals.

He has played with Staebek and Alalesund of the Norwich League, Llaoning Whowin of China, Ferencvaros of Hungary and recently to the Portland Timbers of the MLS. In the 2020-2021 campaign with Ferencvaros, he scored 42 goals and 11 assists and scoring a couple of goals in the Champions League Group against Juventus.
