#Decisionday for Sporting KC against LA

In a moment that hearkens to the last days of the season for he European leagues.

This is also a moment where Sporting Kansas City didn’t want to find themselves, lose and possibly end the season out of the playoffs.

When facing the likes of the reigning champion Los Angeles Galaxy most teams this season have fallen.

Couldn’t come at a more difficult time for Sporting KC who were at one point a contender for the Supporters Shield but after picking up a mere 8 points from their last 11. Only the 2015 Wooden Spoon winners Chicago Fire have amassed fewer points during the same stretch.

While each team had midweek games LA sent the reserves to grab a draw in the Champions League, having wrapped up the group early, while Sporting threw out their best against Colorado Rapids in a 2-0 loss to a team that will finish bottom of the Western Conference.

So where does that leave KC?

Technically so long as San Jose Earthquakes fail to get anything from their road match at FC Dallas Sporting will be in the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season.

Win, Sporting will more than likely play host to the playoff knockout round. Losing to Colorado midweek and San Jose last week has meant that what could’ve been a finish as the second best in the conference and a place in the Conference semifinals are now not possible unless lady lucky showers Peter Vermes’ side with smiles.

Prediciton: Galaxy 1-0 LA has only 2 wins on the road, they get a third and San Jose gets through due to the excessively poor finish to the MLS season, when does 2016-17 CCL start?
