Darlington Nagbe named to MLS All-Star roster

COLUMBUS, OH – Today at noon, MLS announced the All-Star roster of league players that will shine against Liga MX All-Stars in Minneapolis, Minnesota in this years MLS All-Star Game. Fans and media were encouraged to vote for players to make the cut, while Minnesota United head coach Adrian Heath chose his top players and commissioner Don Garber made his two picks.

Columbus Crew will send Darlington Nagbe to the Twin Cities to represent the Black & Gold, after his stellar year he’s had so far. Nagbe is the 25th player in franchise history to be selected as an MLS All Star.

Nagbe, who last featured in an All-Star game in 2016, is the only rostered player to have won three MLS Cups (2015, 2018, 2020).

Since joining the Crew just before the 2020 season, Nagbe has made 18 regular-season appearances (all starts)  while scoring three goals. The Lakewood, Ohio native has an impressive pass completion rating of 92% and has completed 865 of his attempeted 937 passes. This is the highest completion percentage amongst players to have played 1,000 minutes this season.
