D.C. United 0-Montreal Impact 0

Those that were looking for a game of intricate midfield battles were in luck on Tuesday night as D.C. United faced off against the Montreal Impact in a 0-0 draw.

Given that both sides were coming off of just two days rest lineup changes were expected. That United were without Wayne Rooney due to a red card suspension and Ignacio Piatti due to an injury certainly seemed to help create the low-scoring affair. The two sides combined to create to just one shot on target during the full 90 minutes. That chance came in the 55th minute when Impact defender Zachary Brault-Guillard hit a low shot that forced United goalkeeper Bill Hamid to make a sprawling stop. Hamid, for his efforts earned his fourth clean sheet of the season. As for Impact goalkeeper Evan Bush his evening was relatively quiet, thanks in large part due to the tight press orchestrated by center-backs
