Captain Cascadia James Riley: “We still have history to write”

James Riley was as disappointed as any after his side’s 4-1 loss to Ellan Vannin. He confirmed that there was nothing serious to conclude from his early substitution but was just a matter of tiredness and ‘old man’ aches!

The interview was admittedly over but the arrival of the Matabeleland team, coached by Liverpool legend Brice Grobelaar, roaring up the touchline behind him was an excellent backdrop for any interview.

Despite the result, he was upbeat about the rest of the tournament. The side has Friday to gel and train before playing Barawa on Saturday and Tamil Eelam on Sunday.
