Alan Hinton: I loved Sigi a lot and it’s a really sad loss

Alan Hinton in an emotional interview with Prost’s John Zielonka talks about Sigi Schmid who died on Christmas Day aged 65. He listed several players who careers had been tiuched by Sigi’s guidance; including Steve Zakuani, Stefan Frei, Chad Marshall, Brad Evans, Osvaldo Alonso, Nicolas Lodeiro, Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan.

Summing up, Hinton said of Sigi:

“He was a big fan of the regular man. He was a special man.”

Schmid will have a mass in LA on January 18.
