A big win in the Miles Joseph era coming against a suddenly struggling Real Salt Lake losing another important match in the final stages of this 2023 season.
It was win that brought the best games for Santiago Moreno, Juan Mosquera, and Felipe Mora and the whole starting eleven that newly appointed manager Joseph put on the field this past Wednesday.
Unfortunately for Mora, he couldn’t make it into MLS Team of the Matchday after being on target on the past two games as the Chilean is showing a lot of hunger lately despite coming in as a substitute.
This win brings back some of that lost momentum in this 2023 season, but the team needs a number of results from other teams in order to rebound.
They will look forward to try and salvage its season and make it into the coveted postseason.
As Sebastian Blanco states about the importance and how the new players will embrace the rivalry between the Timbers and Sounders, he concluded by high praising the team overall performance as well its commitment.
On the game against Seattle, manager Joseph reiterated that he will put his best starting eleven in the field as he will be looking for the win and, on the road, will be a huge accomplishment and looking forward to back-to-back wins.

A massive win on the road for the Seattle Sounders against Austin FC, in a game where the Emerald City side really showed a lot of determination and ambition as the team never gave up in the whole course of the match.
A sight of relief for manager Brian Schmetzer after seeing his team struggle in the Leagues Cup and in league play losing to Atlanta United and drawing against Minnesota United. This win sure delivers much needed momentum for these embattled Rave Greens.
With a stunning performance by Stefan Frei and Nicolas Lodeiro, that earned them both a spot in MLS Team of the Matchday.
This will be an interesting test will be for the Portland Timbers along their new manager Miles Joseph when they visit Seattle on Saturday and play their first road game under their new manager. Can the Timbers produce and upset in Lumen Field?
