After winning the season opener at home 1-0 against New York City FC, Charlotte FC begins a road trip with a match against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, March 2.

Charlotte is coming off a strong defensive performance where they were able to keep a clean sheet against NYCFC despite not being able to control possession and allowing more shots than the attack had. Charlotte limited the amount of quality chances for NYCFC, with just three of the 11 shots faced being on goal.

This match will be the first of the MLS season for Vancouver, but not their first competitive match of the year. Vancouver was eliminated from the CONCACAF Champions Cup by Tigres UANL by an aggregate score of 4-1. Vancouver drew the first leg 1-1 before losing 3-0 in the second leg. Across the two legs, Vancouver faced 33 shots with 12 on goal and managed 18 shots and four shots on goal of their own.

Charlotte FC will again be without Ben Bender, Brandt Bronico, Brandon Cambridge and Tyger Smalls due to injury as well as Djibril Diani due to issues with his visa. Patrick Agyemang and Bill Tuiloma are listed questionable, with Agyemang available for selection.

The two sides have only faced each other once before when Charlotte came out on top 2-1 in May 2022.

The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET at BC Place and streaming on Apple TV.
