Vrioni Acquires Green Card, New England trades International Roster Slot for $175,000 GAM

Foxborough, MA – The New England Revolution have traded a 2024 International Roster Slot to Charlotte FC for $175,000 GAM across 2024 and 2025.

Revolution forward Giacomo Vrioni acquired his permanent residence card (Green Card) in January of 2024, opening an international roster slot for New England.

The transaction has New England send one of their 2024 International Roster slots to Charlotte FC in exchange for $75,000 General Allocation Money in 2024 and $100,000 General Allocation Money in 2025.

The New England Revolution look to prepare for the 2024 campaign ahead of their matchup with Club Atlético Independiente de La Chorrera (2-2-1, 8 pts. in LPF) in a Concacaf Champions Cup Match. The match kicks off at Estadio Universitario F.C. at 8:00 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.

Following Concacaf Champions Cup play, The New England Revolution (0-0-0, 0pts.) will shift their focus back to MLS as they will play their first match this season this weekend. They begin the season on the road to Washington, DC as they are set to face MLS Eastern Conference side D.C. United (0-0-0, 0 pts.) on Saturday, February 25th. The match kicks off in Audi Field at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
