Former Revolution player Christian Makoun signs with Anorthosis Famagusta FC

FOXBOROUGH, MA– Former New England Revolution defender/midfielder Christian Makoun has found a new home with Cypriot First Division club Anorthosis Famagusta FC.

Christian Makoun, 23, joins his 7th professional club since his career debut in 2016. The defender/midfielder has appeared in Venezuela for Zamora FC (2016-2019), in Italy for the Juventus U23s (2018-2019), and has appeared in the United States across Major League Soccer the USL Championship for Inter Miami (2020-2021), Fort Lauderdale CF (2020), Charlotte FC (2022) and the New England Revolution (2022-2023).

Makoun appeared in 20 matches (1050 minutes) for New England across 2 seasons.

He provided 0 goals, 1 assist. New England had a 7W-6L-7D record when Makoun appeared.

He had 25 goals against whilst on the pitch.
