Team news

The Columbus Crew will miss captain Jonathan Mensah for this match, as he is suspended due to to yellow card accumulation. Caleb Porter announced defender Milos Degenek as questionable.

Head coach Caleb Porter has seen the team have success in many formations. Whether it’s a 3-5-2, 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, it’s hard for Porter to judge which one he’s going to go with on game day.

“We’ve used those three formations pretty seamlessly. We’ve used the 4-3-3 a lot more than the 4-2-3-1 recently, even more than the 3-5-2. I think we’ll keep doing what we always do, looking at the opponent; Obviously we will have to have some rotation this week,” said Porter in regards to the Crew missing captain Mensah.
