The international friendly on Tuesday evening was destined for a United States Women’s rout against the smaller and less experienced Uzbekistan national team, particularly since the United States had beaten Uzbekistan 9-1 days earlier in Columbus OH.

The USWNT consisted mostly of new faces with Rose Lavelle and Mallory Pugh representing the “old guard” of the starting lineup.  Although the first score was ruled an own goal, it resulted from a Lavelle pass and Lavelle scored another two.  Other scorers were Catarina Macario (2), Pugh, Trinity Rodman, Margaret Purse, and Ashley Sanchez.
