The Portland Timbers announce roster status ahead for the 2022 season

With seven players on contract options and three players declined, the Portland Timbers exercised their options on their roster. The players that the Timbers picked up their contract options are Diego Chara, Dario Zuparic, Cristhian Paredes, Andy Polo, Marvin Loria, Blake Bodily and Zac McGraw.

Contrary to the previous players mentioned, the Timbers declined contract options on Ismaila Jome, Jorge Gonzalez, and Manny Perez; and Renzo Zambrano is out of contract. In addition, the club in talks with Sebastian Blanco, Steve Clark, Aljaz Ivacic, and Josecarlos Van Rankin.

This the current state of the Portland Timbers roster:

Goalkeepers: Jeff Attinella, Hunter Sulte
Defenders: Pablo Bonilla, Claudio Bravo, Larrys Mabiala, Zac McGraw, Bill Tuiloma, Dario Zuparic
Midfielders: Blake Bodily, Diego Chara, Yimmi Chara, George Fochive, Marvin Loría, Santiago Moreno, Cristhian Paredes, Andy Polo, Diego Valeri, Eryk Williamson
Forwards: Dairon Asprilla, Felipe Mora, Jaroslaw Niezgoda
