Portland Timbers will face off the LA Galaxy in the USOC

The Portland Timbers have a rival in the U.S Open Cup Round of 16 and it will be the Los Angeles Galaxy on a game scheduled on Wednesday, June 19 at 8 PM PT at Providence Park.

With a 2-1 win over the Seattle Sounders in the fourth round on Wednesday June 12 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, WA.

This Win marks the sixth time the Rose City squad has advanced into the round of 16.

The LA Galaxy win over Orange County FC of the National Premier Soccer League Wednesday. Last year edition of the USOC the Portland Timbers defeated the LA Galaxy in the Round of 16 by score of 1-0.

So far in the U.S. Open Cup the Portland Timbers have posted a 10-7 record since their inception in Major League Soccer, with their best performance in reaching the semifinals against Real Salt Lake in 2013.

Among the novelties in this upcoming match U.S. Open Cup, the Portland Timbers will highlight its new Park menu. As fans will be able to purchase $2 hot dogs, $2 nachos and $5, 16 ounce cans of Coors light during the game.
