Colorado Rapids 1-Portland Timbers 3

Dicks Sporting Goods Park, Commerce City, Colorado

Not only were the Portland Timbers battling a struggling Colorado Rapids but also these were against one of their toughest foes its altitude.  Coming to Dicks Sporting Goods Park considered for the Portland squad as their house of horrors with just a lone win and three ties. Today they exorcised those demons and left the negative behind with a resounding win over the struggling Rapids.

Not only the Portland Timbers extend their winning streak to six consecutive wins, they make an all-around statement of playing with confidence in the road! After all the Portland squad exercise a total domination in the whole course of the match. Despite the OG  of Julio Cascante in the 31 minute and a foul in ending time that gave way to a Colorado penalty. Once again the Portland defense stepping up and preserving their lead.

Once again, the whole of Portland initial eleven seeing a couple of changes in its starting lineup. This time manager Giovanni Savarese sent Samuel Armenteros for Fanendo Adi in the frontal attack. With Andres Flores starting in place of Andy Polo currently called by his national team and looking for a spot with the Peruvian squad.   The Portland Timbers were in peril and in the risk of their winning streak coming to an end.

For the Portland Timbers manager Giovanni Savarese making all the right moves. The chessmaster is making what has become his trademark moves in his initial eleven. By displaying his success and that has delivered in his signature 4-3-2-1 formation. This win puts the Portland Timbers in a three-way tie in second place with LAFC and Dallas.
