Toronto, ON – Well deserved 3-1 victory for Toronto against the Chicago Fire.  They finally got their 3 points at home.  Giovinco was definitely on fire against Chicago!!!

Last night, the BMO Field vibrated with the magic from Captain Sebastian Giovinco. With an incredible right kick, he claimed the first goal at minute 28 for his home fans.  Gaining momentum, a short four minutes after, TFC defender Eriq  Zavaleta locked-in a second point with a header that the Fire goalkeeper Brava was unable to stop.

Even if the ball possession was 55 per cent with the guys from the state of Illinois, it still wasn’t enough to cut the Red’s rhythm. 8 minutes before the end, the Italian star, makes another beautiful goal in a free kick out of area, marking the 3rd goal in the night.

On the other hand, the 27, 097 spectators on the BMO Field, were expecting more from the new Chicago contract, the German Bastian Schweinsteiger, but the Canadian’s were more involved in this match.

Greg Vanney, Toronto Head Coach, speaks about the performance of  the starting Marco Delgado, remarking the clear difference he creates on the field, distributing and playing good combination with Giovinco and company, really tightening up the right side.

Although, the game seemed pretty over following the 3rd TFC goal, a few minutes before the end, The Fire discount the 1st and only goal delivered by David Accam who entered as a substitution at minute 61.

Next match for The Greg Vanney boys will be at BMO field next week against the Houston Dynamo’s.
