Radio Cascadia Ep. 50

0

Whitecaps-Sporting KC-4087The first big milestone is here for Radio Cascadia, as we release our 50th episode about six weeks after the show turned a year old. In our biggest, best installment yet, we pick up from where we left off last week. With a broader focus than the week to week, how does the rest of the season look for our clubs?

The Timbers weathered an early storm en route to marching up the Western Conference table. Is their schedule conducive to a run at the Shield? Is Melano the answer? Almost the opposite was true for Vancouver, taking copious amounts of points early before limping in to Ep. 50 with a 1-0 loss at home to SKC. With 20 matches left for the BC club to play, will the depth be there to push them over the line in 4 competitions? The Sounders, for their part, have everyone befuddled while their star strike tandem remains out. Should Sigi batten down the hatches, Bruce Arena-style, and just play for MLS Cup now?

We examine all these momentous questions and a few others in our hour of midseason previews.

There’s plenty of time for some stories about the first year of the show, reviews from last week’s matches, and the small matter of this weekend’s derby in the Rose City.

For the 50th time, and hopefully for many more, we present to you the Radio Cascadia podcast-
