Ousted 6.5

A game of defensive errors that lead to Ousted letting in two goals. Made a huge mistake trying to move the ball up field on Kei Kamara’s second goal. Was still able to make a big save off Finlay in the 86th minute to get the Whitecaps the draw.
Beitashour 7.0
An improved game from Beitashour than the previous two games. More sound defensively and wasn’t caught out of position as often. Should be able to build off this match as he plays this weekend in front of family down in San Jose.
17’ Kendall Waston conceded an early yellow card after substitute Pa-Modou Kah gifted possession to Columbus with his first touch. Diego Rodriguez pulled up with a tight quad early on and had to be replaced.

Waston took a nasty spill prior to the final whistle.

Waston 7.5

Was dominant again in the back. Had two great chances off corner kicks to put the ball in the back of the net but missed by inches. Scary moment when he fell on his head going up over Kamara on a 50/50 clearance. Looks to healthy for this weekend.
Rodriguez 6.0
Didn’t get enough minutes to make an impact before leaving with a quad strain.
Adekugbe 7.5
Was able to get up in the final third time and time again. Picked the right times to make quality runs into the offensive flow of the game.
Laba 8.0
Was a monster in the defensive side of the pitch. Won tackles time and time again and was a force to be reckoned with. Almost scored what would have been goal of the year but was just off the mark.
Teibert has been a menace in midfield since returning from international duty.

Teibert 7.0

Another great game by the young Canadian. Linked up well with Laba and helped shut down the middle of the pitch. Too bad the defenders where playing at the same level.
Mezquida 6.5
Wasn’t able to keep up the same level as last game and his offensive touch was lacking. With Rosales soon to be coming back this might be the last start for Mezquida for a while.
Mattocks 8.0
A great showing with a goal and an assist. But he did have a chance for three more goals but kept missing the net by a few inches. Was a game that hopefully he can build upon and start playing like this game in and game out.
Morales 7.5
Another great game by Pedro. Has really stepped up the past three games and looks to be coming into fine form. Still not finding the back of the net but you know it will come sooner rather than later.
That's now 5 in 6 for MLS' hottest striker.

Rivero 7.5

A great goal off the Mattocks throw in. Showed great body position by holding off Michael Parkhurst to get a great shot on net. Could have had two or three goals but wasn’t able to pull the trigger.
Kah 5.5
Was tough to come into a game in the 14th minute but he struggled on both goals. Wasn’t in proper position on either goal. Showed a bit of rust in the beginning but came on near the end of the game.
Manneh 7.0
Came into the game and made an impact. He was able to run at tired defenders and set up his teammates. Will be a tough call on who should start on Saturday is it Mattocks or Manneh?
Earnshaw 6.0
Wasn’t able to make an impact in his few minutes of play.
