17-Year-Old Noel Buck makes Team of the Matchday 5

FOXBOROUGH, MA– Following the New England Revolution’s 2-1 comeback victory over D.C. United, midfielder Noel Buck has made the MLS Team of the Week!

This is Noel Buck’s second appearance in the MLS Team of the Matchday this season. He joins Henry Kessler as the only two Revolution players with two appearances in the Team of the Week.

Noel Buck obtained a starting position in the MLS Team of the Matchday 5 following his 88th-minute game-winner versus D.C. United on March 25th in front of a crowd of 16,000 in Washington, DC. Buck, who played the full 90 minutes finished the match with an 8.3 rating according to Fotmob and received man of the match honors. Offensively, Buck had 1 goal on 1 shot attempt. Buck had 70 touches and 9 passes into the final third. The midfielder went 41/49 (84%) on accurate passes throughout the match with 4/8 accuracy on long balls (50%). He went 1/2 (50%) on successful dribbles and was dispossessed 1 time during the match. Buck defensively was 2/3 (67%) on tackles won with 2 clearances, 1 interception, along with 6 recoveries. He went 5/8 (63%) on ground duels and was 0/1 (0%) on aerial duels won. He was fouled 1 time and committed 1 foul.

The New England Revolution (4-0-1, 12 pts.) return to Foxborough to face New York City FC (2-1-2, 7 pts.) at Gillette Stadium on Saturday, March 31. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
