Pete Fewing on Sounders FC broadcast changes, upcoming season and Seattle U. Redhawks

SEATTLE — Pete Fewing sat down with Prost Amerika prior to the Seattle Sounders FC and Club America CONCACAF Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

In the video below, Fewing discussed the changes in the Sounders’ broadcasting team, upcoming season and how his Seattle University squad is shaping up for the 2016 campaign.

Sounders FC broadcast teams and upcoming 2016 season

With the departure of play-by-play announcer Ross Fletcher, the Sounders implemented separate  teams for this year’s radio and television broadcasts.

Fewing provided an update on the new play-by-play voices, Matt Johnson on radio and Keith Costigan on television, and returning analysts.

On the Sounders’ upcoming season, Fewing felt the team was well positioned for a successful campaign. With a year of MLS experience under their belts, the returning nine starters have an opportunity to connect and to move deeper into the playoffs.

Seattle University Redhawks

In his fourth year as the soccer head coach at Seattle University, Fewing led the Redhawks to their first-ever Sweet 16 appearance and recognition as one of the top college soccer programs in the country. He noted the difficult 2016 schedule, but expects to replicate last year’s accomplishments.
