San Jose, CA- The last time Sporting Kansas City defeated the San Jose Earthquakes on the road Twitter was not even invented yet. George W. Bush was still president. Heck even Sporting Kansas City weren’t even Sporting Kansas City. But thanks to a wizardry performance from Dom Dwyer the SKC pulled off their first victory in San Jose since Fubu was cool by the score of 2-1.

Sporting earned three valuable points thanks to an early goal from Dwyer (7′) and an 81st minute shot from defender Kevin Ellis. The Quakes (7-9-13, 34 points) earned the equalizer in the 42nd minute thanks to a goal from Simon Dawkins but were unable to hold on to the point. The victory pushes Sporting (12-12-7, 43 points) ahead of the Portland Timbers for the fifth seed in the MLS Western Conference.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika photographer Lyndsay Radnedge. You can check out some of her photos below!
