FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution midfielder Damian Rivera was named MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchday 8 following the Revolution II’s 3-2 comeback victory versus Toronto FC II.

New England Revolution midfielder Damian Rivera obtained the honor of MLS NEXT Pro Player of the Matchday 8 following his offensive display versus Toronto FC II on May 14th. Rivera, who played the full 90 minutes finished the match with 9.4 match rating according to Fotmob and was the Man of the Match. Offensively, Rivera had 2 goals in 2 minutes with 4 total shots on the night with 72 touches and 3 passes into the final third. The midfielder went 26/38 (768%) on accurate passes throughout the match along with 7/12 (58%) on successful dribbles. Rivera defensively was 3/5 (60%) on tackles won with 6 recoveries. He went 15/23 (65%) on ground duels and was 0/0 (0%) on aerial duels won.
