VANCOUVER, BC–Vancouver Whitecaps will head into Decision Day with a shot at the playoffs. We still have Sunday’s action to sort, but a 2-0 win over confirmed second seed in the Western Conference Austin FC means that the Whitecaps still have a shot.

Ryan Gauld opened the scoring in the seventh minute on a breakaway following a nice pass from Pedro Vite. Gauld turned provider in the 62nd minute feeding Lucas Cavallini who was back from suspension to make it 2-0 Vancouver.

The Whitecaps head to Minnesota (winless in their last six) next Sunday knowing that a win and favorable results elsewhere would mean back-to-back miraculous playoffs berths.
