VANCOUVER, BC–The last 25 minutes saw all the goals, but also saw the Whitecaps’ unbeaten run end at the hands of Minnesota United, 3-1. After a goalless first half, and each team hitting the woodwork early in the second half, the Whitecaps hit the front through Lucas Cavallini in the 66th minute.

Four minutes later though, Kemar Lawrence was unmarked on a cross and he brought the Loons on terms. The visitors would go ahead after Luis Amarilla converted a turnover in midfield into a wonder strike from 25 yards out in the 84th minute. Insurance was added four minutes later after Franco Fragapane after another defensive breakdown to seal the points and move the Loons fifth in the West overnight.
