VANCOUVER, BC–Brian White got the match’s only goal and Maxime Crepeau made a penalty save in the 96th minute as the Vancouver Whitecaps defeated FC Dallas, 1-0, to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Whitecaps are now just three points outside the playoff places with a match in hand on seventh-place Real Salt Lake who were demolished, 6-1, by Portland.
FC Dallas lose their first match under interim coach Marco Ferruzi and are now nine points below the playoff line with seven matches remaining.
