COMMERCE CITY, CO–Both teams missed a chance to get to where they want to be in the Western Conference table in this 1-1 draw. The Rapids missed on a chance to pull level on points with Sporting Kansas City at the top of the West while Vancouver missed out on a chance to pull within two points of the playoff line.
Danny Wilson put the Rapids ahead in the 28th minute only for the Whitecaps to equalize through Brian White in minute 41.
Both Younes Namli and Diego Rubio returned to the Rapids’ fold after long injury lay0ffs, but neither were able to help Colorado get all three points while Lucas Cavallini came closest for the Whitecaps in the second half.
