FOXBOROUGH, MA–New England and Columbus shared a pair of points as they played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night. Gyasi Zardes got the goal for the Crew in the 58th minute to put them ahead, but Adam Buksa would equalize four minutes later. Eloy Room fought through injury to make six saves on the night.

It’s a vital point for the Crew despite allowing 33 shots again the Revolution. It keeps them within reach of the playoff line, three points behind Montreal coming into Sunday. New England are still far and away ahead for the Supporters’ Shield (ten points) and the Eastern Conference (15 points ahead after Nashville’s loss in Toronto).
