Guatemala were last-minute replacements after Curacao had to withdraw due to COVID-19 cases within their ranks. Guatemala would face El Salvador on Sunday night at Toyota Stadium in their first match. It two late goals by Alex Roldan and Joaquin Rivas to put El Salvador at the top of Group A with a 2-0 win.
