TACOMA, WA–While the Sounders and Real Salt Lake were playing at Lumen Field on Wednesday night, their reserve squads were playing at Cheney Field in Tacoma. Malik Johnson scored for Real Monarchs SLC eight minutes into the match, but Samuel Adeinran equalized in second half stoppage time to preserve a point for the Tacoma Defiance.
The Defiance have a quick turnaround as they host LA Galaxy II on Sunday while Monarchs SLC host San Antonio FC at Zions Bank Stadium on Saturday.
