CHICAGO, IL–The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) announced the first three weeks of their Fall Series schedule on Tuesday. The nine teams have been divided into three, three-team pods to limit travel:

West:  OL Reign, Portland Thorns, Utah Royals

Northeast: Chicago Red Stars, Sky Blue FC, Washington Spirit

South:  North Carolina Courage, Orlando Pride, Houston Dash

The three teams will each play the other two teams in their pod home and away. Ideally, the NWSL fall series will include 18 matches over the course of seven weeks, featuring three, three-team pods that will all play one another and enable the league to minimize travel.

There will be a televised NWSL Game of the Week on the CBS Television Network every Saturday in September, and on CBS Sports Network three Saturdays in October. CBS All Access will exclusively stream four games as well as the CBS broadcast coverage in September. Twitch will exclusively stream seven games globally, including in the United States, and every game internationally.

CBS’s opening match will be Saturday, September 5th at noon CT from Segra Field (home of USL Championship side Loudoun United FC) where the Washington Spirit will play Sky Blue FC. The NWSL Challenge Cup winning Houston Dash open on September 11th on the road against North Carolina. The runners-up in the competition, Chicago Red Stars, open on the road the next day against the Spirit.
