For the Timbers GM and President of Operations Gavin Wilkinson–the man with his usual informative appeal, charm and humbleness–he opened the conference and speaking about several themes and plans the club has for this 2020.

Starting with the current negotiations with Legia Warzaw striker Jaroslaw Niezgoda, with the talks still in its finalizing stages for his transfer, pending a medical, and the possibilities of a resolution can be around next week.

Per Gavin Wilkinson the club is still looking for a right back and 2 attacking players.

Moving forward with Giovanni Savarese as he stated of the changes made from last season with the current base from last year and the new acquisitions along with T2 and academy players training currently with the club.

With arrivals of Yimmi Chara and Dario Zuparic, the club is looking forward for an impactful season, and with the right intensity he would like to raise the level of competitiveness in the Timbers starting eleven.

In the arrival of Yimmi Chara with incredible attributes defensively and offensively, the man will give many options in the Rose City attack, as he is aware of his brother legacy and contributions to Timbers squad.

The arrival of Dario Zuparic will add experience and a balance among the club current center back base, with Larry’s Mabiala, Bill Tuiloma, and Julio Cascante, the man from the Balkans will deliver the needed depth.

As well both Gavin and Gio both mentioning their joy of the club bringing back one of the club’s utmost players in midfielder Diego Valeri staying with the club he’s given so much and the club that has given so much to him.

For Gio, his goal is to see a very competitive team, still with some work to be done and little pieces to be done and despite the moves performed by Gavin Wilkinson, the aim is to see a very competitive team.
