Portland Timbers Sebastian Blanco and Larry’s Mabiala on MLS Team of the Week

On Decision Day the Portland Timbers moved into the postseason in a most noteworthy way with an important 3-1 win over the San Jose Earthquakes.

With goals from defender Larry’s Mabiala who opened the score in the first half while midfielder Sebastian Blanco with a spectacular free- kick.

As a result of this win the Portland Timbers move on to play into the first round of the playoffs against Real Salt Lake on October 19 or 20 at Rio Tinto Stadium.

Therefore, for their outstanding performances they were named to MLS Team of the Week.
