Ronaldo leads Modric in online poll for FIFA’s Best but he probably won’t win

Luca Modric is a hot favourite to be announced the winner of the FIFA Best mens player award this evening, according to the Prost reporter at the Royal Festival Hall in London, Asif Burhan.
But fans of Juventus’ Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo still have faith if an online twitter poll is to be believed. He leads Modric narrowly as of 3pm in London with Egypt and Liverpool’s Mo Salah trailing on third.
“Word around the Royal Festival Hall is that Ronaldo is not even coming, which is a fair indication he doesn’t think he’s won,” Burhan told Prost.
That clearly hasn’t stopped his ever loyal fanbase from voting. But the last laugh might well be the Croatian midfielder’s who excelled in the World Cup..
