Vancouver Whitecaps 2-San Jose Earthquakes 2

The Comeback ‘Caps certainly has a nice ring to it. After a wild, come-from-behind draw against the Houston Dynamo on Friday the Vancouver Whitecaps followed it up with another roller-coaster result on Wednesday, this time earning a 2-2 draw against the San Jose Earthquakes.

Cristian Techera gave the Whitecaps the 1-0 lead with his goal in the 19th minute, his second of the season. But San Jose came marching right back with a pair of goals from wonderkids Danny Hoesen (45′ +3′) and Nick Lima (53’) put the visitors on top. Yordy Reyna found the equalizer though in the 64th minute, giving Vancouver their second consecutive result at home.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika photographer Gerrit te Hennepe. You can check out his shots from the match below and all of his Whitecaps photos from the 2018 season on SmugMug.
