FC Dallas 3-Los Angeles Galaxy 2

Don’t make Mauro Diaz angry. The Los Angeles Galaxy didn’t like him when he was angry.

After not starting in FC Dallas’ last four matches the Argentine Designated Player got the call on Saturday afternoon against the Galaxy. He made the most out of his chance, assisting on all three of Dallas’ goals in their 3-2 win.

Maxi Urruti (28′) and Roland Lamah (44′) gave Dallas the 2-0 lead in the first half. The Galaxy got to within one thanks to Ola Kamara’s goal in the 47th minute, his fourth of the season. But Lamah struck again just five minutes to put the lead back again to two. Emmanuel Boateng gave Los Angeles a bit of life late with his goal in the 83rd minute but it wasn’t enough to prevent Dallas (4-1-4, 13 points) from earning their first win in three matches. As for the Galaxy (3-6-1, 10 points) they are now winless in their last four matches.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika photographer Ziro Castellanos. Please enjoy some of his photos from the match and make sure to check out all of his photos on SmugMug.
