Los Angeles Galaxy 1-Chicago Fire 0

This Zlatan Ibrahimovic guy can score some goals. On Saturday in front of a capacity crowd at Toyota Park Zlatan showed once again why he is one of the best strikers in the world giving the Los Angeles Galaxy (3-2-1, 10 points) the 1-0 victory over the Chicago Fire (1-3-1, 4 points).

Zlatan’s goal would come just before halftime, finishing off a cross laid in by Ashley Cole. The goal was his fourth of the season. In the second half the Galaxy defense would take center stage with goalkeeper David Bingham making several quality stops to preserve the advantage. Fire midfielder Aleksandar Katai appeared to have the equalizer late but. But credit to Galaxy defender Daniel Steres for making the goal line stop to give his side the three points.
