Diego Valeri misses a goal opportunity.

For last, campaign League MVP the Portland Timbers Talisman Diego Valeri. We can state that he is definitely back. In the last two matches already scoring and with near shoots denied by the posts. El Jefe we can say his game and contributions are starting to make a difference in his squad. Still after their last weekend disappointment. Don Diego is ready to get back home and start delivering his magic. By looking forward to the comforts of home as well, lead his troops to net that elusive win.

After carefully watched by the opposing defenses in Portland’s previous matches and not allowed to display his amazing game. In Chicago and Orlando, all of a sudden the Maestro is back what he does best in the field in scoring and contributing with opportune assists.

The return home a coming on April 14 is something the 2017 league MVP will certainly be looking forward t. As the roar of the home crowd will be a welcome sight not only for the Andean but also for the whole Rose City initial eleven.  So far with his compatriot Sebastian Blanco having a dandy of a campaign, as he and his former Lanus partner, can become of MLS deadliest of attacks. So far, between these two lead the Portland Timbers in the team overall scoring.

In five matches the Portland Timbers have played. Valeri has accumulated two goals out of seven shots  with four shots directly on goal. The first match of the campaign against the Galaxy Diego had three shoots with one direct shot at goal, but he sustained three fouls. In the New York Red Bulls match, he only managed to apply two fouls. A much-improved Diego that had direct shot, two corner kicks attempts and three off sides. In Chicago, he finally opened his goal account and in Orlando scoring via a penal.

For Diego Valeri finally his game is seeing an awakening and his contributions are making a difference. Still this is a team effort. Despite so controlled, thanks to Sebastian Blanco contributions, he has liberated the mark against Diego and now he freely displays his game. The hope is that the return to Providence Park for the Portland Timbers we will see more of those stellar afternoons by him and his bunch. There is more to see of El Jefe in this 2018, Forza Diego!
