Portland Timbers at a glance

For the Portland Timbers its business as usual going to Orlando. Giovanni Savarese and company looking forward to net that elusive and difficult win. After last week, tie in the Windy City and within minutes of recording their first win. So far, the overall record between these two, numbering three meetings, Orlando SC has the advantage. With two wins and a loss and last campaign, For Portland last campaign-beating Orlando in Providence Park to a 3-0 final score. Finally, the Rose City squad broke the dominance of the Florida Boys. The Timbers finally lift the curse to beat them at home to   3-0.

With every match the PTFC showing off many improvements but showing off some minor details to deliver that perfect game. The Timbers positives are of players returning from the DL in Vytas and Jeff Attinella, who should be  ready for this weekend’s match-up. In addition, the likes of defenders Larry Mabiala and Marco Farfan had a stellar performance in the defensive backfield. Still the Timbers need to exercise more pressure on defense on its foes and not allow many spaces to display their game. also to add another positive was the incorporation of Andres Flores who along Cristhian Paredes and Diego Chara these three can deliver in the future some notable afternoons.

If the use of the 4-3-2-1 formation use again this time with, Sebastian Blanco performing wonders in the midfield and the Timbers overall scoring leader with three goals. The possibilities of Diego Valeri steeping up to his stellar game along with Adi, we may have three points of gold.

Projected Starters: Goalkeeper: Jeff Attinella; Defender: Zarek Valentin, Larry Mabiala, Bill Tuiloma, Marco Farfan (Vytas); Defensive Midfielders: Andres Flores, Diego Chara, and Cristhian Paredes; Attacking Midfielders: Sebastian Blanco and Diego Valeri; Forward: Fanendo Adi

Orlando SC at a glance

After last week, win in what seemed to be a wild shootout and netting an important win. The Orlando SC Boys not only netted their first win of the campaign but also showed off their arsenal.  For manager Jason Kreis seeing his first win of the campaign returns the confidence to this star-filled squad looking to put an end to their struggles. With the a possessed Dom Dwyer in the double and Will Johnson and Josue Colman. These put the icing o the cake and delivered a one of a kind win at home. I mean the SC coming to this match against Portland they come with some momentum and its complete initial eleven.

For this, match Dwyer known to be a total headache to the Portland defense in the past in his SKC days. Also midfielder Will Johnson will be facing his old team were he has a familiarity to some of his old teammates game. Very well, the 4-4-2 formation sent by manager Kreis to this new Portland squad will be an all-around test.

Projected Starters: Goalkeeper: Joe Bendik; Defenders: Scott Sutter, Lamine Sane, Amro Tarek, and Mohamed El Munir; Midfielders: Will Johnson, Cameron Lindley, Yoshimar Yotun, and Sacha Klejstan; Forwards: Justim Meram and Dom Dwyer

2017 result: Portland Timbers 3, Orlando SC 0

Prediction: Orlando slight favorite by just a goal
