Real Madrid has conquered Major League Soccer. Well, not really but on Wednesday night in Chicago the Cristiano Ronaldo-less Spanish side were able to best some of the top stars from MLS in an interesting and, at times, engaging affair 4-2 on penalties.

The two sides were tied 1-1 after regulation with Borja Mayoral and Dom Dwyer scoring for Madrid and MLS, respectively. Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, and Mateo Kovacic were the goal-scorers during the penalties portion of the match for Real while Diego Valeri and Miguel Almiron would find the back of the net for the ‘home’ side.

You can check out Dan Gaichas of Windy City Soccer’s full report of the match here. In the meantime please enjoy some of our photos from the match courtesy of photographer Don MacGregor. Also, do not forget to check out all of our photos from the match on SmugMug.
