Radio Cascadia Ep. 102 – Unspectacular Deputization

0

The second weekend of the 2017 MLS season was an odd one for Cascadia. Seattle came from 2-0 down in the last ten minutes to draw against the Impact on a concrete-like surface in Montreal, and that was the least eventful of the region’s games!

Portland downed LA at the StubHub Center in a match altered by a questionable red card and heavily affected by injury.

Meanwhile, Vancouver nearly broke their winless streak in San Jose in another match undone by a dismissal. The Whitecaps took a 2-0 lead on 17′ but David Ousted’s red card on 23′ changed the complexion of the game. The Earthquakes stormed back for three straight goals in the highest scoring (and most painful) Cascadia fixture of the weekend.

We have all the analysis on these three bonkers matches, not to mention a massive preview of Vancouver’s CCL Semifinal first leg against Tigres on Tuesday. We scout the opposition, set up the tactics, and try to assemble a path to the Final for the Whitecaps.

Previews of Seattle’s home opener with NY Red Bull and Portland’s big showdown with Houston also follow in a 90-minute long edition of Radio Cascadia.

Come get hyped for this CCL Semifinal with us, as Cascadia is again tested on the highest of stages!
