2016/17 – The Year in Women’s Soccer
Prost Publishing, a division of Prost Amerika is proud to announce the publication of its first ever Women’s Soccer Yearbook. The format of a Yearbook is popular in soccer across the globe and Prost is now bringing that to North American soccer, with the first Yearbook entirely dedicated to Women’s Soccer.
Interest in Women’s Soccer is higher than ever in North America but few have truly covered the heart and soul of an entire year.
In the book’s inaugural edition we are delighted to announce that the Foreword is being written by Kim Little, the 2016 BBC World Player of the Year who plays for Seattle Reign in the NWSL and represents Scotland at international level.
Joining the regular team of beat writers at Prost Amerika will be some of the nation’s top Women’s Soccer writers, partnering to produce the inaugural version of what will become an annual publication.
Special guest writers include Jamie Trecker, the first ever soccer columnist on ESPN.com who writes on Women’s Soccer in the Media and Dan Wiersema, Communications Officer of the American Outlaws.
Read about the best players, the biggest games, the champions and the memorable events of 2016. The book will cover the highs and lows of the season including the USWNT’s doomed quest for Olympic Gold in Rio to the winners of the NWSL.
There will player profiles on some of the top internationals as well as coverage of controversies that had people talking about Women’s Soccer throughout the year and advice on how to become a women’s soccer journalist and photographer, and a chapter on Supporter Culture in the women’s game.
The book will also contain color photographs from Prost Amerika’s beat photographers across North America.
