Not the most impressive of wins for the Sounders, but they all count the same as they defeated Real Salt Lake, 2-1, and maintain the top position in the Western Conference table by three points over their rival down I-5 in Portland. RSL dip to tenth in the West and one point below the red line for a playoff spot.

Seattle’s goals were by Jordan Morris and Yeimar Gomez Andrade while RSL’s goal came inadvertently from the feet of Nouhou Tolo who was trying to intercept a cross from Maikel Chang. Other than that, RSL did not get a single shot on target in the match.
