Vancouver Whitecaps 2- Montreal Impact 1

The Kei  Kamara-Alphonso Davies partnership is in full effect in Vancouver. On Sunday afternoon at BC Place the two put on quite the show with each providing a goal for the Whitecaps in their 2-1 win over the Montreal Impact.

Kamara’s goal came in the 63rd minute off of a cross from Davies down the right flank. Ever the gentleman, the Sierre Leone international returned the gesture in kind for Canada’s wonderboy, putting in a clever pass for to give him his first-ever Major League Soccer goal in the 70th minute. Montreal would cut the lead to one with Matteo Mancosu’s header in the 81st minute. But it ultimately wasn’t enough to prevent the Whitecaps from earning their first win on the season.

On hand to cover the match was Prost Amerika photographer Gerrit te Heneppe. You can check out his shots from the match below and all of his Whitecaps photos from the 2018 season on SmugMug.
