Montreal Impact 2-NYCFC 2
Second half goals killed NYCFC last season and if Saturday’s 2-2 draw is any indication it may be a big problem for the side in 2018. Despite taking a 2-0 late into their match on Saturday against the Montreal Impact The Pigeons were unable to keep the win in their cage. Thanks to goals from Saphir Taider (52′) and Ignacio Piatti (55′) in the second half Montreal would earn a point on the day in the penultimate match of the Suncoast Invitational.
NYCFC’s two goals would come courtesy of David Villa (12′ and 50′). Here is video of the second a sublime free kick effort:
