New York Red Bulls 4 – Chicago Fire 0

Those who were wondering if the 2017 MLS Cup Playoffs would have an upset did not have to wait too long to find their answer on Wednesday night. Despite being the number six seed in the Eastern Conference the New York Red Bulls showed that they are capable of defeating side at any time easily dispatching the Chicago Fire 4-0 at Toyota Park.

Bradley Wright-Phillips (7′), Sacha Kjlestan (11′), Daniel Royer (70′) and Gonzalo Veron (87′) would provide the goals for the Red Bulls. With the win they move on to the MLS Eastern Conference Semifinals where they will face Toronto FC in a home-and-home series. The exact date and times as well television broadcasters has yet to be determined.
