Roy Miller hit the ground running in his first minutes back in MLS.

Covering for Liam Ridgwell on Sunday in Los Angeles, Miller previously played with the New York Red Bulls, before going to Costa Rica where he was with Saprissa last year.

Still adapting to the new city, he feels he is fitting well with his teammates, and with what Caleb is asking from him, as well.

His match fitness from the recently finish Costa Rican league proved critical to him as he was needed to shore up the injury riddled Portland Timbers defense.

Roy talked about his first impressions with the city and the team, also looks forward the work ahead. Roy commented on Portland’s signature weather, which he said “For me weather is not important, what is important is the team and how we do in the league”.
