2016 was a very interesting year for the Seattle Sounders. After sustaining a difficult start to their campaign the club went on an incredible run en route to their first-ever MLS Cup. While many of their greatest matches came at the friendly confines of CenturyLink Field the road was just as important. Critical victories over the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Vancouver Whitecaps helped seal a playoff spot for the Sounders while their 1-0 win over the Colorado Rapids in the Western Conference finals was an instant classic. Oh yeah and they had a pretty big result against Toronto in December.
