It seems like yesterday that the 2016 season started, D.C. United came a long way since that first game against LA Galaxy in March. Players came and went during the season – Fabian Espindola was sent to Vancouver, Patrick Mullins was brought in from NYCFC – and as every soccer season, the team had their wins and losses.

And now with 11 wins, 9 losses, and 13 ties, in 33 games the Black-and-Red will end the regular season against Orlando City.

Tomorrow will be the second time these teams plays each other this season the last time , in September, both teams needed a win, but United got a leg up and hasn’t lost since then. United have climbed into fourth place in the Eastern Conference playoffs and are now fighting for a win and a chance of a home game during the knockout round.

Orlando did not have the same luck and returned home after snapping a five-game winless, run with a 2-0 win at the Philadelphia Union, last Sunday and it is, until now, in 8th place, without a chance of going to the playoffs.

So D.C United is in he playoffs Orlando City no, that is it right? Not really. United need the win to get a Home game and not have to suffer with an away game, and lets not forget, they also wants to stay above Montreal.

Orlando will want to win, specially at home, and end the season with a party, the season maybe over for them, but it does not mean that they will give up.

These teams have played each other four times in the regular season, with the Black-and-Red winning three times, and the Lions only one.
