Vancouver, BC- All season long it always seemed like the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2 liked to leave things to the end. Whether it was a last-minute stop or a game-winning the Caps had a flair for the dramatic. That continued on Saturday night as Daniel Haber provided a late to give them the 3-2 victory over Oklahoma City Energy FC 2 in front 1, 038 supporters at UBC Thunderbird Stadium.

Vancouver kick-started the scoring with two goals from Kianz Froese (26′) and Kyle Greig (47′). But the Energy came storming back thanks to goals by Dani Konnig (59′) and Timo Pitter (79′). Haber’s goal broke the deadlock in the 89th minute and prevented the need for overtime.

With the victory the Whitecaps will go on to face the winners of Orange County Blues FC and Swope Park Rangers. Time and venue have yet to be determined. In the meantime enjoy Prost Amerika photographer Gerrit Te Hennepe’s photos from Saturday’s match!
