The Mauro Biello club visits Real Salt Lake at Rio Tinto Stadium tonight at 10PM ET.
This is a match up between two teams that are presently very similar in standing in their respective conference.
Among the 11 players of the IMFC that will appear in tonight’s match, the possible professional debut in the MLS of the new acquisition that comes from the European football, is once named top scorer in the Italian Serie B, Matteo Mancosu, that is arriving on loan from Serie A’s Bologna FC 1909.
It will be interesting to see the change of dynamics he will bring to this team, especially after releasing for IMFC press his style as a very active striker, i.e. he likes to score goals.
Other then the new acquisition, it is very important to signal the return of Lucas Ontivero that was fighting a bug, and Laurent Ciman who is returning from EURO 2016.
IMFC has not won against the RSL in their last visits in Utah, but similarly, RSL did not win their last visits to Montreal. Let’s see if IMFC can break this legacy between these two teams.
On a side note, in the last week, reports were talking about the acquisition of Uruguayan striker Diego Forlan by MLS clubs, where he was offered to the Montreal club, whom decided to pass their turn on this World Cup veteran.
